History of Our Practice

Harpeth Pediatrics was founded in July of 1999 by Dr. Kelly Bennie and Dr. A.B. Hawkins. Dr. Reid Collins joined the group in 2000, Dr. Jennifer Myers in 2002, Adrienne Freeman, PA-C in 2005, and Dr. Andy Huss in 2007. It is our vision to provide quality pediatric care with a parent's touch.

Financial Policy

Each insurance policy has different guidelines concerning acceptable medications, referrals, hospital and lab services. As a primary care provider, we are placed in the middle of trying to provide quality care in a cost effective manner.

It is ultimately the policy holder's responsibility to ensure that these requirements are met, but our office makes every effort to meet these guidelines so that the policy holder will not be held responsible for charges that the insurance company refuses to pay.

You can help us to file your claims more efficiently by notifying us if your insurance carrier or benefits change

Billing

Payment for care is due at the time services are rendered, which means you are expected to pay a co-payment or deductible payment on the day of service. You may receive a bill from us reflecting an outstanding balance after the insurance has paid their portion. We accept cash, check, Visa, or Mastercard.

If our office has a contract with your insurance company, we will submit the claim for you. If we are not under contract with your insurance company, you must pay the bill in full when services are rendered. We will provide you with a receipt to file the claim yourself.

To discuss a bill, please contact our business office directly.

See the "Insurance" link on our website for a list of insurance companies and links to their websites.
